观世音菩萨现婆罗门身为有缘众生说法

　　【应以婆罗门身得度者,即现婆罗门身而为说法。】婆罗门是印度的修行人, 他们自称是大梵天的后裔, 他们喜欢术数阴阳、占卜算卦、修身养性这些,观世音菩萨就现婆罗门身来度化他。你看道家都供着慈航道人,手里拿一个拂尘,就是观世音菩萨在道家的化身。很多道士甚至也去普陀山朝拜观世音菩萨,说是去朝拜慈航道人,这就是观世音菩萨以婆罗门身来度化他。观世音菩萨有种种方便法门,不管什么样的人, 喜欢什么就给什么,所以观世音菩萨又叫观自在菩萨,自己自在,度人也自在,经典里有赞叹:“ 普陀洛迦常入定,随缘赴感靡不周,寻声救苦度群迷,是故名为观自在。 ”

For whoever can be best enlightened by brahmana，Guan Shi YinBodhisattva will appear as a brahmana to propagate Dharma.The word brahmana means spiritual practitioners in India. They claim to be the descendants of Mahabrahma. They are fond of divination, Yin and Yang, as well as self-cultivation. For these people, Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva will appear as a brahmana to teach them. Taoists normally pray and worship Saint Boat of Compassion. Taoists normally pray and worship Saint Boat of Compassion holding a horsetail duster. This indeed is the embodiment of GuanShi Yin Bodhisattva in Taoism. Many Taoist priests even go to Mount Putuo, which is the sacred place of Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva, to worship Saint Boat of Compassion.This is how Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva manifests Himself as a brahmana to enlighten them. Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva has different ways to perform expedient Dharma doors. Whoever comes for help, the Bodhisattva will always fulfil their wish. Hence, Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva is also known as Avalokiteshvara. The Bodhisattva Himself is free from vexation. Also, He has boundless freedom and power to offer help to everyone. Therefore, Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva is highly praised in a Sutra as, ‘constantly in deep meditation in Mount Putuo and Luojia; going everywhere to fulfil what is asked for according to the cause without exception; saving those lost sentient beings from suffering by chasing their sound, thus He is called Avalokiteshvara.’
