奥巴马越南参访华人寺庙( President Obama visited Chinese temple in HCM City)

2016年5月24日，越南胡志明市，美国总统奥巴马抵达后首站参访当地华人寺院--玉皇庙（又称福海寺）。

Immediately after landing arrived in HCM City on May 24, President Barack Obama paid a visit to the Ngoc Hoang (Jade Emperor) Pagoda . Ngoc Hoang Temple was the first place visited by the US President in HCM City.

玉皇庙由广东移民建于1892-1900年，1984年更名为福海寺。然而因寺院内供奉了玉皇大帝塑像，人们仍然习惯沿用旧称 “玉皇庙”。该寺被公认为国家级建筑、艺术遗迹。奥巴马总统对有着百年历史的建筑和塑像非常感兴趣。

The temple was built in the period of 1892-1900 by Cantonese. In 1984, the temple was renamed Phuoc Hai. However, people still call it Ngoc Hoang (Jade Emperor) because the pagoda worships the Jade Emperor. The temple is recognized as a national architectural heritage site. President Obama was very interested in the architecture and carvings in the temple of over a century old.
