有了信心和智慧，才能坚定地走自己想走的路

　　你学佛了，社会上没有像你这样进步的人，一般人都没办法理解。你想坚定地走这条路，是需要以信心、智慧为前提的。佛教是觉悟的智慧，我们在座的以后要多看一些因果报应的书，比如《因果明镜论》，还有一些佛菩萨的传记、祖师大德的传记，都会增加我们学佛的信心。你有信心了，学佛这条路才会走得长远、走得坚定、走得义无反顾。否则的话，你走走就退步了，又回到世间的状态去了，就会很可惜。佛法是解脱之路，百千万劫难遭遇。

Confidence and Wisdom is a Must for Learning Buddhism

When you are being a Buddhist, actually most of people in the society can not understand you because there is no such persons in this society who are as progressive as you. Confidence and wisdom is a must if you want to walk in this way firmly. Buddhism is the wisdom of enlightenment.

I advise the people present here to read more books about “Karma and Retribution”, such as <Mirror On the Cause and Effect> and some biographies of Buddhas , Bodhisattvas and the patriarchs. All of these books can strengthen our confidence of learning Buddhism. Once you have the confidence, you could walk farther and more firmly without any regression. Otherwise you would retreat and go back to the condition which you used to be in. That would be a great pity, for Buddhadharma is a way leading to liberation and one can hardly encounter over the millions of the Kalpas.
