一个具有千金的人，必有千金的人格

　　中国人说一个具有千金的人，必有千金的人格。你要从外在获得多大的福报，内在肯定要有这么大的福。反过来说，你内在没有这个福，外在拥有这个福，拥有了结果会怎么样？是祸。所以说你求天保佑，天怎么保佑你？天欲福之，必先祸之。为什么必先祸之？让你能够知道谨慎，能知道居安思危，能知道恭敬，敬天地，孝敬父母，兄友弟恭。
The Chinese says that a person who is in possession of ‘thousands of gold'(plenty of wealth) must have characters that worth 'thousands of gold' too. If you wish to receive a lot of outer blessings, then you must cultivate an equal amount of inner good deeds. In other words, if you do not cultivate inner good deeds, but at the same time enjoy outer blessings, then what would be the consequence of it? It is calamity. That is why if you beg for blessings from gods, how could gods protect you? "Before giving blessings, some calamities will be granted". Why do calamities have to be granted first?This is to remind you to be prepared for dangers in times of peace. It also reminds you to be respectful to the earth, parents as well as siblings and friends.
