诸位善知识,今天讲的是《金刚经》的意义,因为一部《金刚经》,照文字讲,一天两天讲不了的,那么讲它的一种意义。
Amitabha.
为什么要念《金刚经》?《金刚经》里面说的什么道理?当初释迦牟尼佛为什么要说这部经?这就是同现在我们念阿弥陀佛一样。为什么要念“阿弥陀佛”?《金刚经》同《弥陀经》这两个经,一个是“真空”,一个是“妙有”。“金刚”是“真空”,“弥陀”是“妙有”,“真空”不碍“妙有”,“妙有”不碍“真空”。
我们今天念这句“阿弥陀佛”,就是要归“真空”,要念头把它念得空了,我们不念佛的时候,心里不肯空。

像这句阿弥陀佛,清恼、威力,调伏我们的心性。《金刚经》就叫“降伏其心”,你降伏其心用什么东西来降伏呢?要用一样东西来降伏。心如何能够降伏呢?非要佛的威力,阿弥陀佛四十八愿广度众生。所以呢,祂能够降伏我们的内心。
那你念佛念了,心、口不离佛,这个手不离念佛珠,等于一个当兵人枪不能离手。念佛人念佛珠不能离手,心、口不能离开佛,那么就是相应了,那么我们这个悭贪、嫉妒、贡高、我慢都被降伏了。降伏了,众生即佛;没有降伏,佛即众生。
The mala prayer beads should not leave the hands of a practising Buddhist. The mind and the mouth should not leave the Buddha. That is a connection. Hence, our greed, jealousy, ego and arrogance will all be subdued. Once subdued, sentient beings are the Buddha; without being subdued, the Buddha is the sentient beings.

这众生为什么能够变了佛呢?佛为什么来我们众生心内了呢?
所以,诸佛是众生心内的诸佛,众生是诸佛心内的众生,那么即心即佛,那么念佛的时候,自然众生这个心降伏了。
Hence, all Buddhas are the Buddhas within the inner mind of the sentient beings; the sentient beings are the sentient beings in the inner mind of all Buddhas. Hence, the mind is the Buddha. So, when reciting the name of the Buddha, this mind of the sentient beings is naturally subdued.
