为什么我们见不到地藏王菩萨？

　　地藏菩萨是谁，祂是法身大士，地藏菩萨现前的时候，地狱、饿鬼、畜生他们都感觉得到，地狱停下来了。为什么这个经是在天上说的，《地藏十轮经》也是天人来问的。因为对于一般的人，他真感觉不到的，菩萨看也看不到。我们要想看到地藏菩萨，你就要看到你的心，所以前面要有觉林菩萨偈这一段。首先要看到自己的心，要找到自己的本觉。你找到自己的本觉，然后才能够与十方诸佛有感应啊。所以念佛的人要念心，念心的人就是真正念佛。我们要想了解、要想见到地藏菩萨，你要见到自己的心。地藏菩萨是因为无量劫以来，依着本觉而修行的，所以祂产生的功德是真实的功德。就像极乐世界，极乐世界是真实的功德。

Who is Kshitigarbha? He is a great Buddha with immaterial and immortal body. When Kshitigarbha appeared, the realm of the hells, evil spirits and animals all sensed the appearance and stopped. This is why the sutra is chanted in the realm of devas, <The Sutra of Kshitigarbha’s Ten Wheels> is also consulted by the celestial beings. For normal people, they cannot neither sense nor see the existence of bodhisattva. If you want to see Kshitigarbha, you need to see your heart first. Therefore there is the Chant of Bodhisattva Juelin at the beginning. The foremost is to see your own heart and find your own internal enlightenment. Only after that could a person have connection and response with the Buddhas of the ten directions. Therefore, people who chant Buddhist scriptures should chant with heart, people who chant with heart are learning Buddhism genuinely. The precondition for us to understand, to see Kshitigarbha is to see own heart. Kshitigarbha practices self-cultivation based on internal enlightenment through infinite kalpas, therefore His merits and virtues are real just like the merits and virtues of the Pure Land are real.
