【应以梵王身得度者,即现梵王身而为说法。 】
在三界里面, 梵王是色界初禅天的天王, 他是修什么法的呢? 他喜欢修清净梵行, “梵” 是清净的意思,修慈悲喜舍四无量心, 修禅定, 因而得生色界天。 色界天没有女人的色身, 因为他们已经远离欲界的男女之欲, 因为还有色身所以叫色界天。 如果有众生不喜欢染欲, 而喜欢清净修行的, 观世音菩萨就现清净的梵王身为他说慈悲喜舍法, 让他从这个角度来觉悟。
If there are sentient beings who need someone in the body of a King Brahma in order to be saved, Guan Yin Bodhisattva will manifest Himself in the body of a King Brahma to preach the Dharma for them.
In the Three Planes of Existence, the King Brahma is the celestial King of the primary Dhyana heaven of Rupa-loka. What kind of Dharma does he practice? He is fond of practicing pure and noble deeds, the Four Boundless Minds of benevolence, compassion, joy and generosity, as well as meditation. Therefore, he was reborn into the Rupa-loka. In Rupa-loka, there are no female bodies, as they have been freed from lust of the Desire Realm. However, they are still present in a physical body. If beings dislike impure desires but are fond of practicing pure deeds, Guan Yin Bodhisattva will manifest Himself in the body of a King Brahma to preach the Four Boundless Minds of benevolence, compassion, joy and generosity for them. Through the practice of this method, they will attain enlightenment.
If there are sentient beings who need someone in the body of a Lord Shakrain in order to be saved, Guan Yin Bodhisattva will manifest Himself in the body of a Lord Shakrain to preach the Dharma for them.
Lord Shakra is the Jade Emperor in Chinese culture, who is the celestial King of the Trayastriṃsa (the secondary stage of Kamadhatu; theDesire Realm). What is his life span? One day in Trayastriṃsa is equivalent to one thousand years in our world. So, his life span is one thousand years in Trayastriṃsa.
There is a laywoman called Xuzhe in Singapore. She is now 106 years old (born in 1898). She has been a vegetarian since birth and has been helping people throughout her life. She used to be a Catholic but converted to Buddhism when she was 101 years old. It has been her belief that the best thing to do in the world is to help others. So, she helps many people every day. She always does good deeds, speaks well, and tries to be a good woman. She is fond of practicing the Ten Good Deeds regarding mind, body and speech respectively: (1) Mind: no craving, no anger and no deviant views; (2) Body: no killing, no stealing and no sexual misconduct; (3) Speech: no lying, no harsh language, no frisolous talk and divisible speech. Practicing the Ten Good Deeds has the effect of being reborn into the Kamadhatu. For someone who is fond of practicing the Ten Good Deeds, Guan Yin Bodhisattva will manifest in the body of a Lord Shakra to preach the good deeds in order to help them achieve enlightenment.
