观世音菩萨功德不可思议——《永恒的甘露》传喜法师开示录三十八

佛的智慧微妙第一, 众生的根钝不能明白。 佛法在世间将近三千年了, 智者以自己的修行已经证悟解脱的境界。 我们应该相信佛陀的话, 佛是真语者、 实语者、不妄语者, 以佛的金口所宣, 观世音菩萨有这么大的功德, 我们还要怀疑吗? 《楞严经》 里观世音菩萨第十四种无畏功德: “ 由我所得,圆通本根,发妙耳门,然后身心。微妙含容,周遍法界,能令众生,持我名号,彼共持六十二 ( 亿)恒河沙诸法王子,二人福德,正等无异。”
The Buddha’s wisdom is supreme and delicate, which is beyond the understanding of sentient beings with low capacities. The Dharma has existed for nearly three thousand years in this world. Wise people have achieved enlightenment and liberation through practice. We should believe in the Buddha’s words. The Buddha is the being who declares the truth. He does not proclaim what is deceitful nor does he exaggerate anything. Should we stilldoubt the tremendous merit of Guan Yin Bodhisattva after the Venerable Buddha declared it to us? In Shurangama Sutra, the fourteenth virtue of fearlessness of Guan Yin Bodhisattva is described as follows: Through the perfect penetration ofthe sense-organ and the wonderful ear-entrance revealed, my body and mind have subtly and miraculously included all of the Dharma Realm, I can enable sentient beings who uphold my name to acquire as much merit and virtue as would be acquired by someone who upheld the names of all those Dharma princes which areas numerous as the grains of sand in 6.2 billion Ganges.
