观音菩萨有求必应——《永恒的甘露》传喜法师开示录三十四

　　【无尽意,观世音菩萨有如是力。】前面还形容“观世音菩萨摩诃萨, 威神之力, 巍巍如是”, 现在不用形容你们都知道了, 观世音菩萨是有求必应, 求男得男, 求女得女。“无尽意” 在这个法会上指东方不动佛、普贤王如来的大弟子, 在我们讲经的时候就是你们诸位, 大家知道了吧? 心不要再无尽意了, 观世音菩萨是有求必应,求财得财,求子得子,求三昧得三昧,求成佛得成佛。所以我希望大家,不要往小里求,要求就往大里求, 求成佛度一切众生;求小了, 把自己的人生都给耽误了。前面说“有一商主将诸商人,赍持重宝”, 因为你有佛性如来藏这个宝,你不求观世音菩萨帮你把这个宝开发出来,有佛性你不成佛, 那就太冤枉了。“观世音菩萨有如是力”,有哪些“如是力” 呢? 上文讲了, 不单世间的种种灾难, 还有我们修行人内心引起的种种灾难, 只要我们称念观世音菩萨名号, 苦难都会 “应时得消散”。 “如是力” 就是观世音菩萨的圆通之力, 这个圆通之力就是“善应诸方所” ——有求必应。

Aksayamati,Guan Yin Bodhisattva has transcendental powers such as:Above, it has been shown how the Buddha describes the awesomeness of the transcendental powers of Guan Yin Bodhisattva. Now, we all know that GuanYin Bodhisattva responds to every prayer to Him and fulfils people’s wishes, no matter whether they wish for a son or a daughter. The Aksayamati Bodhisattva in the Lotus Dharma Assembly is the senior disciple of Eastern Akshobhya Buddhaand Adibuddha. Did you know that He also becomes you while you are listening to this teaching? Do not wander your inexhaustible minds. Guan Yin Bodhisattva responds to whatever is being asked. Anyone who prays for riches, children,Samadhi or even Buddhahood will have their wishes fulfiled. Therefore, Ihope that you don’t pray for trivial things but significant things – becoming aBuddha and saving all sentient beings. You will waste your life if you only chase after trivial matters. As previously mentioned, ‘A leader of a caravan holds great treasures'--it is a shame if you have the treasure of the Buddha-nature but do not pray to Guan YinBodhisattva to exploit and develop this treasure for yourself which allows you to be a Buddha.‘Guan Yin Bodhisattva has transcendental powers.’ What are these powers? As described in the previous text, we practitioners not only face different kinds of natural disasters, but also those that result from our own minds. They can be immediately eliminated by invoking the holy name of Guan Yin Bodhisattva. Transcendental powers are the power of perfection of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, with which He can help to fulfil whatever sentient beings are praying for
