《永恒的甘露》--《妙法莲华经—普门品》讲记（三十） 传喜法师宣讲

　　我在石家庄讲 《楞严经》 的时候, 也有种种的违缘出来, 包括我现在讲 《妙法莲华经·观世音菩萨普门品》也是这样, 很多人几个月前就准备好了, 要跟我来听法, 结果种种业障现前, 把他缠住来不了了。我们修行更是这样, 你想了生脱死, 无量劫来所造的恶业充满三千大千世界,这些恶业以人格化显现出来就是冤亲债主,追着我们不放。你想跑啊? 没那么容易。

　　就像我们如果在中国造了很多恶业,你想签证去美国,你去得了吗? 肯定把你拖住: 你倒好, 还有钱到美国去? 欠我的账你先还了,如果不还, 抱你家电视机, 抱你家红木椅子, 甚至把你打一顿。去美国挨不挨打我不知道, 但买彩票中奖的挨打, 已发生过好几起了。有个人买体育彩票中了头奖, 高兴得跳起来: 我中头奖了! 结果一大群人围上来: 这家伙怎么这么幸运,怎么就中头奖了? 说着就一个嘴巴子, 这边一拳、那边一脚, 打得他浑身是伤重庆有一个买彩票中了五百万, 税交掉一百多万, 老婆娘家人来要钱,给了几十万, 不够还要, 他就把房子卖掉, 买了一个小别墅躲了起来, 结果他们打听到了, 开着车到他的别墅,把他打成残疾。照片登出来,头包得就露了两眼, 身上全部绑着纱布呢。新闻记者报道说: 这就奇怪了,他中了奖,别人为什么一定问他要钱? 家里的亲戚反目成仇? 后来中了彩票的人都不敢出声了。

　　你们听《妙法莲华经》要发菩提心来听,要发为一切众生能够脱离苦难的心来听,否则你听了这样的经,冤亲债主不高兴:哦,你得到好处了,那我们呢? 所以我们得到法的利益,一定要发广大的心来回向众生,这样观世音菩萨度众生的心,在你这里也得到发扬。“无尽意菩萨”是谁啊? 或许就是在座的我们,心里整天东想西想,有无尽的念头,你说我们怎么修行呢?所以下面就更具体地、针对性极强地对治我们修行人的习气毛病。

When I was teaching the Shurangama Sutra in Shijia zhuang, I heard of various karmic hindrances too. While teaching this Lotus Sutra, I have also heard of similarstories. Many people had prepared for months to come and study Dharma with me;however, they were tangled up by negative karmic force and had to give up their plans. We hope to be free from birth and death so we try to cultivate ourselves, but the negative karma we have created since eons ago is so big that it could fill the entire three-fold great thousand-world. Negative karma appears as our enemies and debtors who are chasing after us. Do you want to run away from them? It’s not so easy.

For instance, you have created lots of bad karma in China but you want to get a visa and escape to the US. Do you think you can make it? You will definitely be held up by bad karma: Since you have money to go to the US, why don’t you pay the debt? You must pay the debt first, otherwise they will take away your TV set and mahogany chairs… even worse,they may beat you up. I am not sure whether people will be beaten inthe US, but I have heard of several cases of lottery winners who were beaten.

A man hit the jackpot of a sports lottery. He jumped with joy and shouted: I hit the jackpot! A crowd of people gathered around him and wondered why he was so lucky. Someone hit him while others beat him. Finally his whole body was full of bruises. In Chongqing, a man won a lottery of five million Yuan. He was taxed more than one million Yuan. He gave his wife’s family hundreds of thousands Yuan but they wanted more. The man sold his houseand bought a small villa to hide from them. However, his wife’s family found where he lived so they drove to the villa. He was savagely beaten and ended up disabled. His picture was published in a newspaper, in which people found that his head was fully bandaged except for his eyes. Journalists wondered why and reported: it is so strange that his relatives wanted to seize his prize! Why did his relatives conspire against him? After this, when people winthe lottery, they choose to keep the news secret.

When you listen to The Lotus Sutra, you should listen with Bodhicitta and make a vow towards relieving all living beings from suffering. Otherwise, your karmic enemies will not be happy: you gain benefit from listening to the Sutra, so what can we get from it? We should dedicate all merits to all sentient beings if we have benefited from Dharma. By doing so, the vow of helping allbeings of Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva also thrives by your vow. Who is Aksaya-mat? Maybe he is everyone here. We think nonsense endlessly, so how can we practice properly? I am going toteach you practitioners particularly how to deal with your bad habits.
