英文时分：吃素护生功德无量——传喜法师
我们吃这口素，其实世界还是照样在杀生，肉照样堆成像山一样。但是我们已经分道扬镳了。虽然我现在吃素，不能救那些众生，但是我们已经是井水不犯河水了。浊者自浊，清者自清，我们已经是做清的了。你做清的，你已经跟佛站在一起了。
We already start the vegetarian diet, but the other people of this world are still killing animals. Great amount of meat in this world are just like a mountain. We have parted ways with those who eat meats. Although I just eat vegetables and I am not able to save those sentient beings, we are already different from them. A pure person is to be pure while an impure one is to be impure.When you choose to be pure, you are already in line with the Buddhas.
你发心好，命运马上改变，你做的事让天地善神喜欢，天地善神就会护持你。现在这个时代是善神在哭泣，我们的老祖先，我们五千年的文明断层了，家家户户的这个祭祀中断。所以你能反省一点点，这个人的功德就很大，不得了。决定做一个好人，不单对阳间的众生，连阴间的你都能照顾到，每天念佛回向他们，给这些众生皈依回向，读诵大乘经典等等为这个世界，以后你们的前途真是不可估量，不可估量啊！ 
To make up your mind to the good things, your fate will change immediately.Because the things that you have done will pleasure the good devas, as are turn, they will take good care of you as well. In the contemporary world, unluckily, good devas are crying. The lifeblood of our civilization of five thousand years is interrupted, and the memorial rites for our ancestors cease.Thus, if one can just examine his or her own conscience a little bit, themeritorious virtue will be huge. To make a wise decision to become a good person will benefit not only the living sentient beings but also those dead beings. To do something every day like praying the Budddas, reading aloud the Mahayana sutras for the world, and then transferring that merit to those sentient beings and taking refuge for them, willcertainly bring you an inestimable and ever-bright future!
