知足之人。虽卧地上。犹为安乐。

佛在《遗教经》里讲到：“知足之人。虽卧地上。犹为安乐。”一个知足的人躺在地上都觉得快乐的，没房子没地，躺着也是快乐的；“不知足者。虽处天堂。亦不称意。”他虽然住在天堂上了，还会烦烦恼恼。所以知足的人常乐，快乐不是金钱买来的。更不要存攀比心，把钱财的数量当成目标，那样只能带来无止境的烦恼。内心的不安，用物质是没有办法安的。

In The Sutra of Buddha's Bequeathed Teaching, it reads: “A content person feels happy even when they are lying on the ground, while those are who not feel unsatisfied even when living in Heaven.” A content person feels constant happiness. Happiness is not something that can be purchased with money. If one chases after wealth, considering the possession of great wealth as their ultimate goal, it will bring nothing but boundless negative emotions. Inner peace can never be achieved through material wealth.
