【中英双语字幕首发】公益短片《生机》：餐桌上的年年有“鱼”

2020年，之于世界，都是极不寻常的一年。虽然《时代周刊》将2020年称为“最糟糕的一年”，各种灾难给人类带来接连的考验，但大道不孤，天下一家，历经一年的风雨兼程，人们比任何时候更能体会到人类共同体的意义。于是，携手治愈创伤，重返正常生活，成为人类共同的心声。

To the world, 2020 was a year of extreme abnormalities and hardships. While TIME magazine deemed 2020 as “The Worst Year Ever” and various disasters continuously put mankind to the tests, the path on the Great Way is never lonely, we are all one family. After a year of trials and tribulations, men could not have experienced the oneness of mankind more. Thus, hands are joined to heal the wounds, returning life to normalcy, transforming into the common voice of mankind.  

而这也赋予了2021年更多的希望与期盼，期盼2021年如“凤凰涅槃”，重获新生。

And this, has gifted 2021 with more hopes and anticipations, looking forward for 2021 to be like the “Nirvana of the Phoenix,” to gain a new lease of life.

那我们的生命如何能够像新年一样，被赋予新的意义与内涵？公益短片《生机》，为走进2021年的我们，点燃生的希望。历经过去的一年，不禁要反思考验所给予的价值，每一份考验都是让人们更好的了解自己，从而从内心做个改变。

In that case, how can our lives be like the new year that has been gifted with new meaning & substance? Charity short film Struggling for Survival ignites the hope of life as we usher in the year 2021. One has to reflect upon the values brought about by the tests during the past one year. The purpose of every hardship is to better understand oneself, making the change from the inner heart thus. 

当心改变的时候，行为就会改变，行为改变，命运也会改变。当新的，充满正能量的念头生起的时候，就给我们的人生播种了生机，“给您我一个生机盎然的未来”，而这正是这部短片所要为我们诠释的。

As the heart changes, the behavior will change. As the behavior changes, fate will change. As the new thought that is filled with positivity sprouts, it plants in our lives a new lease of life, “providing both you & me with a future that is full of life”, and this is precisely what this short film is trying to tell us.

而且，当我们播种下生机的时候，我们生命的质感也会提升，不再麻木不仁，更多的是对生命的尊重与关爱，不再自私自利，为欲望忙碌奔波，迷失自心，更多的是推己及人，将心比心的爱与感恩，从而找到心灵的归宿。不仅仅人类是命运共同体，所有生命都是命运共同体，动物的苦乐感受与人类是一样的，“愿每一个生命都能被关爱”，这部短片直击我们的灵魂深处。

In addition, as we plant this lease of life, the quality of our lives gets elevated, it is no longer apathetic but filled with more respect and love for life, no longer selfish, self-benefitting, slogging away because of desires, and estranged from one’s true heart. All the more will one undo others as what one would have others do unto you, which is a love and gratefulness that comes from putting yourselves in others shoes, and as a result of these, the abode of the soul is found. Not only does human share the same fate, all living beings, too, share the same fate, the sufferings & joy that animals feel are the same as those of humans. “May each & every living being get to be loved,” this film penetrates right into the core of our very soul.

展望2021年，我们都渴望吉祥，渴望快乐，渴望幸福，渴望温暖，燃起“生机”无尽灯，重塑生命之魂，一灯能破千年暗，“一灯燃百千灯，冥者皆明，明终不尽”，以灯传灯，灯灯无尽。新的一年，牛（扭）转乾坤，让我们一起努力，点亮生机的无尽灯，给世界启以光明。

Looking forward to 2021, we long for good luck, long for happiness, long for bliss, and long for warmth, igniting “a lease of life” with infinite light of dharma, and reshaping the soul of life. The light from a single lamp dispels the darkness of a thousand years, “the flame from a single lamp lights up hundreds and thousands of lamps, darkness gets illuminated, and brightness never ceases.” Passing on the lamp, the light will never be put out. As we move into a brand-new year, let us strive together and turn things “ox” round, igniting the lease of life with infinite light of dharma, and awaken the world with its brilliant light.
