影片中，乔即将迎来实现梦想的人生转机，却无意中变成了蓝色灵魂，成为灵魂22的导师。一心只想重回地球的他，在22的带领下，来到“忘我之境”。

In the film, just as Joe was so closed to fulfilling the dream of his life, he turned into a blue spirit unexpectedly, becoming the soul counsellor to soul 22. With his mind set on returning back to earth, he reached “the Zone” under the guidance of 22. 

“忘我之境”里，神秘老头月之风帮助自我迷失的人找回自己，甚至让他们通过特殊频道回到中脉，通过神识跟肉体发生链接。他就像修行的成就者，能在禅定中去到各道，甚至去地狱救度众生。

In the film, just as Joe was so closed to fulfilling the dream of his life, he turned into a blue spirit unexpectedly, becoming the soul counsellor to soul 22. With his mind set on returning back to earth, he reached “the Zone” under the guidance of 22. 

乔历经周折回到地球，如愿和偶像同台演出。但当梦想实现后，他却徒然感到失落。乐队主乐手给他讲了这样一个故事：

Joe returned to earth after many twists and turns, realising his dream of performing on the same stage with his idol. Yet, after realising his dream, he felt lost instead. The leader of the band then told him such a story: 

一条小鱼游到一条老鱼身边说：“我要找到他们称之为海洋的东西。”

A small fish swims up to the side of an older fish saying: “I’m trying to find this thing they call the ocean.”

“海洋？”老鱼问，“你现在就在海洋里啊。”

“The ocean?” the older fish says, “That’s what you’re in right now.”

“这儿吗？”小鱼说，“这里是水，我想要的是海洋。”

“This”, says the young fish, “This is water. What I want is the ocean!”

一位禅师说，“终日寻春不见春，春在枝头已十分”，说找春天、找春天，“踏破铁鞋无觅处，得来全不费工夫”。所谓禅意，就是找回本来面目。

Quote of a Zen Master: “Constant seeking of the spring that is nowhere to be found, yet, the spring has actually long begun”, in search of the spring, in search of the spring, “one searches high and low, only to realize that efforts have gone wasted”. Hence, Zen means to regain one’s true (fundamental) self. 

鱼如果在水中不能感受到身边的大海，它就没有办法感受到真正的大海。它心中的大海，其实就是它身处其中的这种微妙的存在。

If the fish is unable to feel the ocean that surrounds it, it will not have the ability to feel the real ocean. In fact, the ocean in its heart lies in the miraculous existence of the surrounding which it lives in.

乔决定回到“生之来处”，告诉22，到地球上来的意义不需要带有什么目标，生命本身就是无价的。

Joe decided to return to “The Great beyond”, telling 22 that the meaning of being on earth did not consist of goals, life was priceless as it was. 

他努力追寻22，为她解开心中的迷惑，给她重新站起来的勇气，带领她破除各种负面情绪所形成的业报。

He pursued 22 diligently, rectifying the doubt in her, giving her the courage to stand on her own once again, and leading her to get rid of the various negative emotions created by karma. 

贪嗔痴慢疑，地狱五条根。但贪嗔痴慢疑究其本性都了不可得。“无明无性本是诸佛不动之体”，无明所幻现的境界自然地幻生幻灭，既无所从来，也无所从去，了不可得。当从无明中觉醒，这些幻境就自解了。

Greed, hatred, ignorance, pride & doubt are the five roots of Hell, but nothing is obtainable as one probes into the true (fundamental) nature of greed, hatred, ignorance, pride & doubt. “The lack of a true (fundamental) nature for ignorance forms the unwavering chassis of all Buddhas”. The illusionary realms created by ignorance are naturally subjected to the illusionary rises & falls. Since it has never arrived, it can never leave and is thus unobtainable. When one awakes from ignorance, these illusionary realms will naturally perish on their own. 

乔陪着22跳向地球。这种陪伴，就像是寺院对每个人的陪伴。寺院的一切都是为了你，你所做的一切，乃至每一句功课，又都是为了找到你自己。这就是佛菩萨全然的慈悲的显现。

Joe accompanied 22 in her leap towards the earth. Such companionship is likened to the companionship of the monastery to all. The monastery does everything with you in mind. Everything you’ve done, even a single word of your recitals, is for the sake of finding your own self. This is the manifestation of the complete compassion of Buddhas & Bodhisattvas. 

乔最终回到了地球。这时的他已经领悟到，人生的每一步都像一首音乐，随时随地都有它音符的美。他已经全然地把生命变成了爵士乐了。

Finally, Joe returned to earth. Joe then realised that every step of life was like a piece of music, always beautiful in its own ways. He had completely turned his life into jazz. 

此时他的人生，既变得优美、充满了灵动，同时又不会大喜大忧。因为他既是生活者，同时也是生活的觉者。他的乐谱，已经不是外在的程式，而是内在觉醒之后的流淌。

At this moment, his life became beautiful, filled with life & spirituality. At the same time, he would not be overly joyful or sad anymore because he lived through life, and he was living a life as an awakened being. His musical scores no longer came from external forms, but emanated from his inner awakening.  

这部片子里用到了释迦牟尼佛的“禅”，禅悦人生，烦恼即菩提。有了这个智慧的高度，才让“心灵奇旅”最后归到圆满。

The “Zen” of Shakyamuni Buddha has been featured in this film, the Zen of Life, troubles are bodhi. Such pinnacle of wisdom perfects the Soul in the end.
