2015 年 4 月,传喜法师应邀到面向一群特殊 的听众,做了一场生动感人的演讲。讲演中法师 以慈悲心走近听众,明理开悟,救人水火:平实 精妙的语言感化人心——微言大义 , 告喻直白的 日常事理,亲切温暖,拉近了彼此的距离;丰富 的历史讲述以古喻今——用传统唤醒良知 , 强调 生命的继承、人生的担当;生动的感人故事真情 教化——启迪良心的回归 , 懂得行为的约束;亲 切的关爱救赎灵魂——恩赐慈悲的祝愿 , 呵护着 众人的自性;宏通达观的释理超凡脱尘——开示 引路,召唤听者重接善缘,萌生向道皈依的本愿。

In April 2015, Master Chuan-Xi was invited to deliver a lively and inspiring lecture to a special group of audience. During the lecture, the master engaged the audience with his compassion; and he was able to enlighten them so that they could reach a clear understanding of the doctrines being discussed, like someone who had come to the rescue of another caught in a water or fire disaster. His ordinary matter-of-factly but sublime words were inspiring – they were subtle yet profound in meaning, touching directly on the phenomena of everyday life and the principles behind them. His words were friendly and warm, and they narrowed the gap between the audience and himself. His historical accounts from which lessons were drawn for the present were rich as he made use of tradition to awaken one’s sense of conscience, and underscore the importance of heritage and the shouldering of responsibilities in life. His lively and touching stories were earnestly transformative, inspiring a return to moral goodness and the mindfulness of self-discipline in conduct. With his genial affection, souls were redeemed; and with hopeful blessings which were beneficent, lovingly kind and compassionate, he offered protection to the self-nature of all. His other-worldly explanation of the principles being discussed was one that was extensively penetrative and broad in outlook -  it was enlightening and provided one with the right direction such that those who came to listen were called upon to re-connect with all the wholesome conditions that give rise to the fundamental aspiration to seek refuge in the Dao.

整场演讲至情至理,引人入胜,让受众感受 到佛法融通了然的义理,给听众的心灵浇灌了一 泓清泉,也为大家送去一份殷切诚厚的慰问。讲 演中,一语道破之时,伴随着热烈的掌声;悲悯 劝慰之间,可听到声声叹息和隐忍的啜泣......

The whole lecture was both emotionally and rationally appealing. It was captivating and it enabled one to have a feel of the harmonious-interpenetration and clarity of the doctrines of the Dharma. It was as if the minds of the audience had been showered in a stream of spring water, and everyone was being earnestly and sincerely comforted. At times during the lecture, the audience applauded heartily when the master hit the nail on the head with just a few words; and when he exercised his compassion and empathy to offer comfort, sighs and lamentations, and suppressed cries could be heard.
