修行要不怕修改,三宝地里的一切都是你修改、进步、最终圆满的助缘
One must not be afraid to make rectifications while practicing. Everything on this ground of the Triple Gem aids you in your rectifications, improvements and leads to the perfection of your practice eventually.
我们很多人看到文殊殿里的那棵古龙松时,都会怆然泪下,好像看到了一位一千七百岁的历经世事无常却依然坚守不动的老人一样。
Many of us had tears of sorrow streaming down our faces upon sight of the ancient dragon pine tree in the Manjushri Hall, as if one sees a thousand and seven hundred years old elderly who have lived through the impermanence of life, yet still holding on.
那么,更何况五台山呢?大智文殊不随岁月流逝,不随四时变迁,不随世间无常,不随人间起落,不来不去,恒常摄护众生。这也是我们皈依五台山、皈依文殊菩萨的很重要的信心所在。当你至诚皈依祂、追求祂、崇拜祂,你就会成为祂。
Well, not to mention Mount Wu-tai. The great wisdom of Manjushri does not fade with time, does not change over time, is not subjected to the impermanence of the world, and not affected by the rises & falls in this world, it has never arrived and it has never leave, bestowing protection upon sentient beings all the time. We can thus take refuge in Mount Wu-tai & Manjushri Bodhisattva confidently. When you seek refuge in him with utmost sincerity, pursuing him, and worshipping him, you will become him.
我们来到五台山,以自己的努力从各个方面庄严寺院,这一点一滴的付出其实都是在建设我们自己。以圆满的三宝作为供养的对境,小小的一份付出都会结出圆满的果报,所以叫得无量报。
Following our arrival at Mount Wu-tai, one should dignify the monastery with every ounce of one's being, in all ways possible. Each and every ounce of such efforts actually goes to the construction of our own selves. With the perfect Triple Gem as the prime focus of worship, every little effort made crystallizes into a perfect outcome, thus termed as receiving infinite rewards.
刚才我们看的《清凉山颂》,这个片子以五台山数千年的文化、各个地方的古老建筑、庄严的佛像、历史的典故为大的背景,最终完成历时一年多时间。在制作的过程中,大家也看到过很多的版本,一版一版,不断地进行着音乐、图片、配音的调整,直到这一版,总算圆满。
Earlier on, we had watched this film, Ode to the Mountain of Clarity and Coolness. This film incorporates the cultures of Mount Wu-tai, which have been more than a few thousand years, the ancient architectures from various locations, solemn Buddha statues and historical classics. It took more than a year to put everything together. During the process of making, we had all seen various versions of it. Version by version, the music, pictures and dubbing are revised and finally, this is the completed version.
这是很不容易的。这也启发我们,做一个片子尚且需要反复地思考、斟酌、修改,何况我们人的修行。我们修行,不要怕修改,怕就怕缺陷很明显,却不去改;怕就怕做到后来找不到哪里还能突破,这就是瓶颈,遇到瓶颈了,实际上就有危机了。
While this is not easy, it is an inspiration. Even the producing of a film requires repetitive contemplation, deliberation & amendments, let alone our practice. During our practice, we should not be afraid to make rectifications. The only thing to be afraid of is not rectifying faults that are pretty obvious, and afraid of not being able to find the sub-sequential breaking points. This is the bottleneck, and when there is bottleneck, it actually means that there is a crisis.
在修行路上,我们就是要不停地自我审视、自我调整、自我修改,然后越来越进步,越来越接近圆满。在进步,你才好意思面对祖先、面对父母,你才不愧出家一场、学佛一生。所以这部《清凉山颂》就是我们修行的一个证明,你只要不灰心, 一定会越改越好,越修越棒。
On this path of practice, we have to constantly examine ourselves, adjust ourselves and fine-tune ourselves. It is only then that we will make progression and close in on perfection. Progression spares you the shame when you face your ancestors, and face your parents. It will thus be worthy of you to be a monk, spending a lifetime of practice on Buddhism. Thus, this film, Ode to the Mountain of Clarity and Coolness, serves as a testimony to our practice. As long as you do not get disheartened, your practice will definitely get better.
我们修这个寺院也就是在修我们自己。这种修行,在外在世间的缘起上,是呈现这样一个寺院的外貌,以此来作为我们朝见文殊菩萨的供养;而内在,是在这个过程当中,得以陶冶我们的虔诚心,净化我们的业障,培植我们的福慧。
The renovation of this monastery is also the renovation of ourselves. Such practice has its genesis of the external world manifested through the image of a monastery like this, and this serves as our offering to the audience with Manjushri Bodhisattva; whereas internally, we have to mold the sincerity of our heart during the process, purifying our karmas & cultivating our blessings.
我们来到文殊寺,可以看到供养文殊菩萨还有一个重要的方式,就是最佳的声光电的配备。既然烦恼是通过眼耳鼻舌身意输入的,那同样,清净庄严也可以通过眼耳鼻舌身意输入。这叫是名善法。先把烦恼戒除,把清净纳入,然后坐下来,无眼耳鼻舌身意、无色声香味触法,以空性的智慧去超越,这就是佛法。
As we have arrived at Manjushri Monastery, we will see that there is an important way of making offering to Manjushri Bodhisattva, and that is the complement of the best lightings and sounds. Since worries are input through eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind; similarly, peace and solemnity can be input through the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind as well. This is known the wholesome dharma. First, be rid of worries and take in peace, then, take a seat. With neither the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind nor the form, sound, smell, taste, touch and objects of mind , surpassing these with wisdom about the nature of emptiness – this is the dharma.
所以音响也好、灯光也好,这些设备虽然不究竟,但是对世间来说它是名善法,是文殊菩萨接引众生、帮助众生更好地修正自我的一个工具,属于佛法所摄。
Thus, be it stereo systems or lightings, while such resources are not perfected, it is deemed the wholesome dharma from the perspective of this world, it is the guidance of sentient beings by Manjushri Bodhisattva, providing a tool for sentient beings to better their self-rectifications. It is the bestowing of dharma.
所以我们在这里,处处都能感受到佛法的味道,感受到每一个人对文殊菩萨的虔诚礼赞。修行的戒香、光明的灯盏、调适到最佳的声光电,哪怕就是尘土,因为有一颗不畏尘土的心,所以那衣襟上沾满的灰尘何尝不是对文殊菩萨的清净供养。建设自我,修正自我,这样的劳动者是最美的。
Thus, as we are here, dharma can be felt everywhere, the feeling of everyone’s sincere homage to Manjushri Bodhisattva. The light of precepts from one’s practice, and the bright lights from lightings are adjusted to the optimal level of sound & light. Let alone the dust. Even the dust which settles on one’s lapel is a form of pure offering to Manjushri Bodhisattva, all because of a heart that does not fear the dust. Constructing oneself, and correcting oneself – such workers are most beautiful.
当一个人具足了如法的状态来朝拜文殊菩萨,来自我修正和增上时,就像诗中所讲的,“土石尚能消罪障,何劳菩萨放神光?”这里的一草一木一石一瓦,一只话筒,一盏灯光,一部片子,都是你修改、进步、最终圆满的助缘,都可以视为是文殊菩萨的慈悲化现。
When one is equipped with the appropriate mindset to pay pilgrimage to Manjushri Bodhisattva, and is here to correct oneself and to better oneself, it is like what the poetry says: “The land and stones can eliminate karma, why to trouble the Bodhisattva to cast the sacred light?” Every strand of grass, wood, stone, brick, microphone, lamp and film here is the most perfect aid, aiding you to correct & improve yourselves, which can be deemed as the compassionate manifestation of Manjushri Bodhisattva.
