寻声救苦，有求必应

农历六月十九

恭迎观世音菩萨成道吉日。

观世音菩萨在因地时，

发下菩提心：

若有众生受三途等苦恼，

凡能念我、称我名字，

为我天眼天耳所见，

为他不免苦者，我终不成菩提。

有这样的发心为因，

才遇到观音如来。

依佛所教，

以“返闻闻自性”而成就观世音。

观世音菩萨又名“观自在菩萨”，

所谓“观自在”，

就是观照自己的“真心”在不在。

如果说，

遇到不顺意的境界，我能自在；

看到不称心的事情，我也能自在。

碰到任何艰难困苦，

我都能够有信仰、

有慈悲的力量安然自在。

能常怀一颗自在的心，

处处随物自在、随人自在、随心自在、

随缘自在、随境自在、随处自在、

随时自在、随理自在、随事自在，

我们能作如是观，那么，

我们自己就是“观世音菩萨”了。

Seeking and Rescuing Those Who Are Suffering, Responding to All Prayers

On the 19th day of the sixth lunar month, we celebrate the auspicious day of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva's enlightenment.

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva had made a vow on causal ground:

If any sentient being suffers from the torments of the three lower realms, all who recite my name or call upon me, seen by my heavenly eyes and heard by my heavenly ears, I will not attain Buddhahood until I relieve their sufferings.

With such aspired vow as the cause, he encountered Avalokiteshvara Tathagata.

Following the Buddha's teachings, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is attained through "turning the hearing inward to hear the self-nature."

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is also known as "Guanzizai Bodhisattva," which means observing whether one's "true heart" is present or not.

for instance, if I am able to remain composed in adverse situations, if I can also be at ease when facing unsatisfactory matters.if I am able to keep the faith and embrace compassion as my strength to remain serene and composed in the face of any hardships. By consistently maintaining a heart of ease and being at ease when facing all things,people, minds, conditions, environments, places, times, principles, and issues, we embody Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva ourselves.
