亲近善知识传承清净很重要

　　以后你们去亲近善知识，哪怕是年轻的不要紧。他有没有跟过老和尚，如果他师父是经过文革的，他师父再带的这个徒弟，这个徒弟再带的徒弟，那这个就一脉相承，这个传承是清净的。这种加持力，叫做净传的加持。能够经过文革这么考验的，不退转的，已经不是登地菩萨，都是不退转地菩萨了。所以佛教能够像今天，文革到现在三十年的空间，就发展到今天这么蓬勃， 这么兴旺， 都跟这些老和尚的加持分不开的。这些老和尚的加持，就是大菩萨的加持啊！我们今天学到佛，不容易，是这些老和尚用自己的生命，像唐僧一样坚定不移的信心，为我们众生坚持。所以我们学到佛，福报很大很大的，都是这些圣贤，这样艰难地，为我们将佛法保存下来的。

The Pureness of the Lineage Matters When Approaching the Great Buddhist Master

If any of you have the chance to approach the great Buddhist master, it does not matter whether he is young or not. What counts the most is that if he has learned closely from any elderly Buddhist master who withstood cultural revolution. The lineage of the Buddhism tradition passed on from your master to you is pure if your master is a disciple of the elderly maser.The enpowerment, in other words, is the empowerment from the pureness of the lineage. Buddhist masters who have survived the cultural revolution without renoucing their faith are never-receding bodhisattvas rather than bodhisattvas whose capability is lower than the 8th stage in bodhisattva wisdom. Due to the empowerment from the elderly masters, Buddhism has flourished and boomed incredibly in China for almost 3 decades since the end of cultural revolution. The empowerment from the elderly masters is equated with that from the Bodhisattvas. Nowadays the chance that we possess to learn the dharma should not be taken for granted.These elderly masters have fought with their life for this unobtainable chance for us with firm will & unwavering faith which master Xuanzang once had. Therefore it suggests that we must have accumulated enormous amount of blessings so that we encounter the dharma. It is these sages who have preserved the dharma for us regardless of any hardship.
