We who recite Amitabha are casted into Amitabha’s sea of great vow. The infinite magnificence of the Pure Land, the benefits of various merits – they are all for us, the sentient beings. Then, what can we rest on to reach the Pure Land? The reliance on Amitabha, and reliance on our pious heart. This pious heart of ours is like the lotus, which ingresses into the lotus of Amitabha’s fruition ground.
