——「慧」看电影之《精诚大医》
A fine doctor is just like a Bodhisattva – Watching movies through the kaleidoscope of [Wisdom]: A Great Master of Chinese Medicine.
精者，医术精湛；
诚者，医德高尚。
所谓大医者，集精诚于一身。
One who is skillful is superb in the art of healing;
One who is sincere possesses noble medical ethics.
Great is the doctor who possesses a lifetime of diligence and sincerity.
凡大医者，必当安神定志，无欲无求，先发大慈恻隐之心，普救众灵之苦，来求救者，不问贫贱，普同一等，皆如至亲，一心赴救，如此可为苍生大医。
All great doctors should be tranquil, with no greed or desires. One should first give rise to the heart of great compassion for all beings, saving all beings from sufferings, see all those in need of help as equals, disregarding poverty or humble backgrounds, and see them as one’s loved ones, saving them wholeheartedly. This way, one fits the bill to be the doctor for all commoners.
《精诚大医》讲述的，是一位具有精湛医术与高尚医德的国医大师李智华的故事。
A Great Master of Chinese Medicine narrates the story of Li Zhihua, a great traditional Chinese doctor who possesses superb healing skills and noble medical ethics.
影片中，罗县发生瘟疫。急救营里哭声惨痛，人类面对疾病脆弱无力。
The film depicts an epidemic that took place in Luo County. Painful cries could be heard from the emergency camps; the fragility and helplessness of mankind could be seen when struck with illnesses.
李智华不顾自身安危，赶赴现场，以深厚的中医知识，纠正了错误的治疗方案，挽回了上千条性命，缓解了疫情 。
Without giving a thought for his own safety, Li Zhihua rushed to the scene, rectifying the incorrect medical treatments with his profound knowledge on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), saving thousands of lives, putting an ease to the epidemic.
由于常年过度劳累与压力，李智华突然昏厥，陷入病危。在医生与家人都束手无策时，他通过精纯的中医知识自我拯救，超越当下的病体，融入于天地之间，终于逐渐获得康复。
Due to the constant over-exhaustion & stress that had been built up over the years, Li Zhihua suddenly fainted and went into a critical condition. With doctors and family members at their wit’s end, he saved himself through application of his perfect knowledge on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), surpassing the physical body of sickness, unifying with heaven & earth, and gradually regained his health in the end.
早在五千年前，黄帝与岐伯通过对答，将人内在的小宇宙与外在的大宇宙，及其中的金木水火土与阴阳调和，总结得非常准确。虽是五千年前的经典，到现在依然适用。
As early as five thousand years ago, a dialogue between the Emperor Huang & Qibo accurately summarized the small universe within a human body, versus the great external universe, among which it consisted of the reconciliation of metal, wood, water, fire, earth with Ying & Yang. While this classical was dated five thousand years ago, it is still applicable up till now.
古代中医大家，每一字都是字无虚发，句句悲心，中医经典就像“大悲咒”一样充满了慈悲。
Every single word from the renowned ancient TCM doctors is accurate & compassionate. The TCM classical is like the “Great Compassionate Mantra” that is full of compassion & sympathy.
不为良相，便为良医。好的医生就如菩萨一般，悲心切切！
If one is unable to be a good minister to assist the emperor in the governance of the country, one should at least be a fine doctor who saves lives. Great doctors are just like Bodhisattvas, full of compassion.
李智华累倒时，没有人能治得好他。他躺在病床上，心归正念，超越于高山丛林之上，自己为自己搭脉，自己为自己开示，自己为自己治病。
When Li Zhihua collapsed from over-exhaustion, no one was able to heal him. Lying on his sickbed, his mind regained mindfulness, surpassing mountains and forests, taking the pulse on his own, explaining to himself on his own, and treating his sickness on his own.
这个镜头是不是真实的？
我们要去极乐世界，
是不是自心自度？
我们现在所学的一切，
是不是为那一刻准备的？
将死之时，
我们要不要自己救自己？
Is this scene real?
For us to go to the Pure Land,
don’t we have to liberate ourselves on our own?
All these that we are learning now,
isn’t it to be prepared for that one moment?
When the time of death comes,
do we want to save ourselves?
这部影片，虽然讲述的是医学，却充满了佛菩萨的智慧、辩证、大悲和“精诚所至，金石为开”的精神。一位医生对病症下药，就改变了一个人的命运，赈济疾苦，拯危救难，妙手回春！
While this film talks about medical science, it is in fact brimming with the wisdom, dialectics, great compassion & the spirit as that of Buddhas & Bodhisattvas of “doing things with pure sincerity will touch Heaven & Earth, to the extent that even metals & rocks would crack on their own”.
A doctor’s prescription of medicine can change the fate of a person, bringing relief to sufferings, saving lives, and restoring the health of critically-ill patients!
