【英语视频】我为什么在这里？

When we are together to build a temple, we must emphasize that we are constructing ourselves. Through the construction, through our physical labor, we must engrave in our bones and hearts the reflection: Why am I here? Then we will cherish the chance more and get some wisdom of inspiration from it.

我们在一起，大家所谓的建寺院，要强调我们是在建设自己，通过这个建设，通过我们体力的劳动，刻骨铭心地去思维：我为什么在这里？那我们就会更加地珍惜，要得出一点智慧的启迪。

Why is it called inspiration? Because there is no so-called - an actual fruit of wisdom - a tangible thing can be directly given to us. Instead, it is for us to think. Throughout the hard work, we struggle with ourself and ask ourself again and again, and then cherish it. (At night,) everyone comes and sits together, so slowly, gradually and repeatedly discipline the mind. We are in the monastic community, looking at it, and feel the power of the collective, and then conquer our own karma bit by bit.

为什么叫启迪呢？因为没有所谓的智慧的果实——一个有形的东西直接就可以给你。是要你去思维，在整个劳动中，一次次自我反问、自我挣扎，然后再珍惜，大家坐在一起，这样慢慢慢慢，一遍一遍地反复，一遍一遍地自我调伏，看着集体，感受着集体的力量，然后一点一点征服我们自己的业力。
