弟子好好修师父就多了一根线充电，否则师父就多了一根线拖累

 Just as what Master mentioned,

 a piece of coal 

has got to burn longer.

也得有质量啊！长，没有质量也没有意思的，有质量还可以。你们好好地修，你们好好修师父就多了一根线充电，否则师父就多了一根线拖累，你知道吧？

Well, there has got to be quality to it as well! Burning longer without quality is meaningless; yet it is alright if there is quality. You should cultivate yourselves well. Should you cultivate yourselves well, you will be like an additional charging wire to Master. Otherwise, Master will have to shoulder an additional wire of burden, do you understand?

多收一个徒弟就多一条线，这条线是拖累，还是你们牵动师父。你是氢气球，那师父就被你们牵动了往上拎；你们是一颗沙袋，你们这根线就拉着师父往下坠，是这样子的。

Taking in one more disciple means having an addition of one more wire. This wire could either be a burden or a force pulling the Master up. Should you be the helium balloon, the Master will be affected in the sense that he will be elevated; should you be a sandbag, he will be dragged down by this wire of yours. This is how it works.

既然我们建立这个关系了，那大家就好好修行。接下来主要的任务就是什么？等寺院修好了，主要的就是闻思修。

Since the relationship has been established between us, we should all cultivate and practice well. What will be the next main mission? Following the completion of the monastery’s renovation, the main focus will be on hearing, contemplating and practicing.
