On the 20th Mar, 2021, new archaeological findings were once again made at archaeological site, Sanxingdui (Three Star Mound): Six “sacrificial pits” of Sanxingdui culture were newly discovered, with more than 500 significant excavated finds, including remnants of the golden mask, gigantic bronze mask, divine tree casted in bronze & ivories etc.

All eyes are now, once again, back on the mysterious ancient kingdom from the land of Sichuan, dated thousands of years ago.      

沉睡数千年，一醒惊天下。

The slumber of a few thousand years astounds the world when roused. 

1986年7月，中国三星堆古遗址惊现世界。这个分布面积12平方千米的文化遗址，被称为20世纪人类最伟大的考古发现之一。出土文物千余件，多属前所未见的稀世之珍。它们被证实来自3000至5000年前的古蜀文明。

The discovery of Sanxingdui archaeological site, China in July, 1986, shocked the world. This archaeological site, with an area of twelve square kilometers, was labelled as one of mankind’s greatest archaeological findings of the 20th century. With over a thousand excavated finds, most are never-seen-before rare treasures. Their origins have been authenticated to be from the Ancient Shu civilization which existed three to five thousand years ago. 

古蜀遗存中令人惊叹的艺术，是古蜀先民对心灵和宏观宇宙的抽象描述。

The astounding artistry from the remains of ancient Shu is the abstract description of the spiritual mind & a macroscopic view of the universe from the ancestors of ancient Shu. 

这棵青铜神树，通高3.96米，卓然挺拔，有直接天宇之势。树分三层，每层三枝，树上共有九鸟，又有一条龙沿主干而下，蓄势待飞。

The height of this bronze divine tree is 3.96 meters tall, majestic and upright, it has the ability for direct connection with the heavenly universe. There are three layers to the tree, each level has three branches, with a total of nine birds on the tree, and its core trunk supported by a dragon positioned to take wing. 

神龙、神鸟、花蕾、“☉”纹……这棵几千年前的上古神树，究竟蕴含着什么奥秘？东西方各大文明中的神树，又有什么不谋而同的内涵？
